Dogs

“When we look back, we realize that the things which came to us when we put ourselves in God’s hands were better than anything we could have planned.” (Page 100, Big Book)

You can let the dogs run around, fine, but you’ll never get to the park.

To get to the park, you have to put them on leads, and you’ll have to experience significant difficulties, learning many valuable skills along the way.

You can go through life letting the ego run around. You’ll suffer havoc and you’ll have to clear up mess, but you won’t have to make much effort or teach them discipline. Plus you’ll never get to the park.

If you do want to get to the park, you’re going to have a bit of a tough time, but the park is worth it.
