The ego stands at the fork in the road and lures me up its path.
The path is brambly and impassable, but to stop me reversing the decision, retreating, and going instead up the God road, the ego says, ‘This the right path, but something or someone else is to blame.’
I can break my reliance on the ego only by seeing through the lie and returning to the fork where the error took place.
