“This gives me the assurance that my conscious contact with Him depends entirely on me, on my desire for it.” (ODAT, 7 November)
In hotel rooms’ communicating doors, the doors must be open on both sides for communication to take place.
God’s door is always open.
If one adopts a position of readiness to hear, visualising the presence of God, and simply waits, one has done one’s bit.
One might receive a revelation tagged with God’s name.
Or one might receive a stream of revelations over the coming hours that are masked as ordinary thoughts.
In other words, one might be quite unaware that God is communicating and guiding.
In any case, one can be entirely satisfied with one’s own willingness and even brief stillness.
That is sufficient to activate the channel, because the supply is always available.
