“You know, all this sounds as though some of us were childishly expecting life to be entirely free of problems.” (ODAT, 24 October)
What’s a problem?
Something that does not go my way.
If I will go about having a way, things are bound to not go it.
What else is a problem?
A choice between two or more options.
Or not knowing what the options are.
What do I do then?
Gather facts, think, research, ask others, but mostly ask God.
I’ll be told.
The only way to avoid the first category of problems is not to have an ego in the first place: impossible.
The only way to avoid the second category of problems is to know everything already: impossible.
Problems are not really problems, though.
The first category comprises signposts for my self-will, to be unwound to nothing.
The second category comprises tests, which are all part of the curriculum.
So, no problems: signposts and tests.
