Hence in Step Eleven: praying only for knowledge of God’s
will for me, and the power to carry that out.
I need concern myself only with what God wants me to do
today.
Other people, the world, the past, the future, me, my life,
and the consequences are none of my business.
To the extent that such factors need to be taken into
account, a glance during prayer-time and passive alertness suffice.
All I need do is act, constantly asking God, “What is next?”
