“I found all the answers in Al-Anon.” (ODAT, 27 June)
When I look in the Steps, the Traditions, and the Concepts,
the answers are there.
If I think I have a problem, that means I do not have a
solution.
If I think I do not have a solution, it’s because I have not
made the effort.
What effort? Go through the Steps, The Traditions, and the
Concepts until the answer is apparent.
Running around with my problem, to meetings, to others, is
the diversionary tactic.
Something in me would rather have problems and put others to
work than do the work myself.
Do I want relief or recovery?
When I decide I prefer recovery, there’s almost nothing left
to say than this:
This is what I did, and it worked.
