Reality and trouble

“I will not give reality to trouble that may never come.” (ODAT, 19 May)

Before it’s happened it’s not real. After it’s happened it’s not real. After it’s happened, there is still only the present to deal with.

In that present, if I know what to do, I do it. If I don’t, I think, discuss, pray, and wait. If something does not then come, I drop the matter and return to it later.

In that present, if I am upset, I adjust my attitude towards cheerful acceptance.

Reality is never a problem. There are only things to accept and things to do.
