Do nothing

“I will realize that, even in doing nothing about my problems, I am actively practicing the Al-Anon idea.” (ODAT, 22 May)

Almost every problem I’ve ever had is really a problem in my perception.

Acting on wrong perception makes things worse.

Get the perception clear, then see what’s left.

What’s left? Almost nothing.

The laundry. The dinner. The little things I’m paid to do (if I’m paid to do it, it’s little: the valuable things are for free).

My role: mere operative.
