“We are in the world to play the role He assigns.” (Chapter 5, Big Book)
“If you aim at nothing you hit nothing.” (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings)
If I am at something in the world, I am aiming at nothing,
and I will hit nothing.
This is because the world is nothing.
If the world is a theatre where I’m playing a role, the
fruit is plastic.
My aim lies outside the theatre: to do as the director
wishes.
My aim is not the aim of the character.
He is not real.
