As an adult, pretty much everything and everyone in my life has been chosen by me over the alternatives.
Although the fact of someone being a family member cannot be chosen, in most cases whether or not I live with them and what sort of relationship I have with them is down to me.
In any case, what is driving my experience of my life is my attitude, not my life.
It’s all down to me.
