Need

He provided what we needed, if we kept close to Him and performed His work well (Alcoholics Anonymous, page 63)

One's asked to trust that God will provide everything one needs to be OK.

The condition is that one seek God's will and take the action indicated.

Why should one believe that?

One shouldn't: it does not and cannot make sense to a limited mind.

Particularly a mind in distress.

But what is the alternative?

If one has failed to provide for one's own needs, spectacularly so ...

... there is no choice. One jumps out of the burning building.

Two things then happen at once:

Unmet needs immediately start being met.

Needs that were not really needs start to drop away.
