If I'm disturbed by something outside of myself, I've attached myself to something outside of myself (other than God).
No one is coming to rescue me. There is no cavalry. And when other people are in trouble, I'm not the cavalry either.
Utter destruction of self and total reliance on God, followed through with a life based on serving God and God alone: that's the only solution for me.
That's the only solution I can offer to others, too.
If they want a different way, they'll have to find a different guide!
