Traditions in Relationships Q&A: 06

We do different social activities. I'm the butterfly. He's the homebody. Sometimes I feel guilty doing my stuff. People-pleaser.

This is not a question but it does highlight a common situation.

Tradition Four: Each group should be autonomous except in matters affecting other groups or AA as a whole.

Just as each group can do things differently, so each person can do things differently. Just as people can belong to different AA groups, the members of a couple can undertake different activities. Tradition One talks about unity, not uniformity, and Tradition Three talks about the absence of requirement for conformity. Provided one person's activities do not undermine the other person's activities or the relationship as a whole, there is no problem. Important, too, is the avoidance of criticism of the other person's differing tastes (Tradition X).
