Most AA meetings are perfectly genial but largely useless. Most people talk about problems that haven't been solved or their remedies for symptoms of the problems that haven't been solved. Precious little of any meeting is used to present the exact nature of the problem (as opposed to litanies of details and lurid details and narratives), the precise nature of the solution, how that solution is to be applied, and the results that have been achieved.
There's a programme available. There's God available. It's all written down. There are endless guides. If the Steps haven't been taken, get on with it now. Stop going to endless meetings and instead write inventory, confess the wrongs, work with someone on the harms that have been committed, make amends, then pray, meditate, be of service in life, help others, and do everything to seek God and God only.
