For one day ... [Part I]

... write down, every half hour, a list of one to two primary focuses of one's thought-life over the previous half hour. This needs to be done as you go through the day, or else you won't remember. Keep it concise and simple.

If one is simply absorbed in performing work tasks, sponsoring, enjoying a meeting, write something like: 'Performing work tasks', 'Sponsoring', 'Enjoying meeting'.

The results might look like this ('07:30' means the half hour from 07:30 to 08:00):

07:30: Work deadlines, the news
08:00: The news, annoying sponsor
08:30: Colleague jerking me around, body image
09:00: Body image
09:30: Future finances, the argument with Sally

Check back tomorrow for a second blog post on what to make of the results.
