It is well said that the programme does not have a spiritual side but that the programme is spiritual.
The most spiritual approach within AA is not the one that is full of high ideas and platitudes; rather, the genuinely spiritual manifests as actual hard work, today.
Both outside AA (having an occupation that is interesting, contributes to the world, and makes the most of what I offer) and inside AA (sponsoring more people than is comfortable; doing more service than is comfortable).
That's the spiritual 'side' of the programme.
