Perfect impartiality

From an Emmet Fox reading:

'... temptation to personal preferences other than perfect impartiality ...'

This contains the entire problem and the entire solution. I have personal preferences. I think things should be a certain way and want them to be that way. They are not, or so threaten, and I am then unhappy.

The solution is perfect impartiality: if I don't have preferences, nothing can get me.

Whatever will be, will be. And it is good. Repeat that one thousand times.
