A course of action

Page 157: "The two friends spoke of their spiritual experience and told him about the course of action they carried out."

Recovery is not about:

- A journey of discovery of self
- A journey into self
- Being authentic
- Being gentle on ourselves
- Being heard
- Being seen
- Being vulnerable
- Claiming one's seat
- Feeling our feelings
- Finding our voice
- Getting our 'needs and wants' met
- Grieving
- Honouring our feelings
- Journaling
- Learning to love ourselves
- Learning to say 'no'
- Learning to self-parent
- Letting time take time
- Showing up for oneself
- Taking one's breath
- Taking ourselves on a date
- Telling people how we feel

... although aspects of the above may make cameo appearances.

It's about:

- Unsparing cataloguing and disclosure of moral failings
- Having screwy, self-centered thinking rewired
- Rigorous and comprehensive amends
- Utter abandonment of self to God
- Utter devotion of one's life to serving God by helping others
