But no, AA always was and always will be about the maintenance of sobriety, through spiritual awakening and spiritual growth.

To make it about anything else, particularly my happiness or personal comfort, is to miss the point.

Look at the name. Alcoholics Anonymous. It's about alcoholism. Period.
