'I want to learn about boundaries'

When I'm still upset, I have no business engaging in the question of boundaries.

Boundaries are practical responses to situations where the behaviour of an individual is producing suboptimal results for the group, and a different contribution would be for the good of all.

They're not the solution to me being upset; in those situations, a boundary is essentially a command that someone else change because I am emotionally immature. That's control.
