How to project out your inner conflict

Firstly, find a way to needle others. The discharge of a role (work, family, group) is a great vehicle.

Do so sufficiently that they push back.

Then construe the pushback as the originating problem: 'they're doing XYZ to me'.

One has now successfully projected out the darkness, located it elsewhere, adopted the mantle of holy innocent victim, and temporarily secured relief.

The attack starts within, but ends up being construed without: payoff without responsibility.
