Powerlessness and unmanageability made simple for Al-Anons

The alcoholic is powerless over their drinking, so they f&$% s%$& up.

We're powerless over their drinking, so they continue to f&$% s%$& up.

Our crappy software (not accepting the things we cannot change; not changing the things we can) activates, we can't shut it down, and we f&$% s%$& up.

If the alcoholic is out of our lives, are our lives still unmanageable?

If they're still f&$%ing s%$& up, it's now not affecting us, so no.

But, if our crappy software is still activating, yes.
