The illusion of depth

When my hair gets too long, I go to the barber's and get it cut. When it grows back, I don't ask what the barber did wrong, look for a different barber, or lose hope. I just get it cut again.

When my character defects grow back: likewise. Recognise them, ask them to be removed, and get on with my day.

There is no such thing as advanced recovery, deep inventory, etc. There's selfishness and self-centredness. And then there's selflessness and God-centredness. A relative newcomer can be selfless and God-centred, and is no less selfless and God-centred in that moment than an old-timer.

There is no hierarchy; there is no depth.

There is only the nothingness of self and the allness of God.
