Resentment:
'From it stem all forms of spiritual disease, for we have been not only mentally and physically ill, we have been spiritually sick.' (Page 63)
Resentment fuels a distorted perception of the universe, in which I am the victim, and the perpetrators are narrowed to a circle of malfeasants, responsible for all of my ills.
My perception of me is distorted; my perception of the malfeasants is distorted; and I am completely blinded to everything else in the universe.
In other words: resentment makes ya dumb.
Ya wanna act right? Ya have to see right. Ya wanna see right? Ya have to get over it / past it / above it.
What's 'it'?
Emotional disturbance.
