I heard someone share that 'any of us could drink tomorrow: there's no guarantee'.
I don't think that's entirely correct.
There is a guarantee, contained in Step Three:
"Being all powerful, He provided what we needed, if we kept close to Him and performed His work well." (Page 63, Alcoholics Anonymous)
It's not an unconditional guarantee; it's a conditional guarantee. I have to play my part.
If I play my part, the outcome is, for all practical purposes, guaranteed.
