Questions

Some questions are great questions, like, 'How long should I spend on Step Eleven in the morning?' or 'Do we make amends to exes we have harmed?'

These are questions of practical import.

There are other sorts of questions, which come from continued ego-reliance, fear, mistrust, and an attempt to reconcile the programme offered with the existing belief system. These questions can be adequately answered, but adequate answers rarely satisfy the questioner, who will temporarily be assuaged but generally return the next day with a new list.

When I have a question, the more important question is this: Why am I asking it?
