AA Tools: The Daily Programme

Read pages 84 to 88 of the Big Book every day and do exactly what it says

If you've committed to the programme, that means you've resigned as the decision-maker in your life

Instead, we let God guide us through this programme

## Nightly review: page 86
- Do the nightly review in the early evening and share with two people
- Proceed on the basis that, if you're upset, you're wrong
- Your job is to find out where your beliefs, thinking, and behaviour are wrong
- And to correct them
- Ask your contacts to suggest any corrective measures you've missed
- Write down the corrective measures and implement them

## In the morning: pages 86 to 88
- Ask the Higher Power to direct your thinking
- Follow all the other instructions on these two pages
- Plan the day with the Higher Power
- Write out the plan
- The plan should focus on
    - Looking after the basics
    - Constructive action
    - Something pleasant
- Run the plan through with someone and be open to suggestions
- Schedule one hour's work on Steps One to Nine to be done before the working day (if you're currently on Steps One to Nine)
- On non-working days, schedule two to three hours or more on work on Steps One to Nine (ditto)
- If you're not working Steps One to Nine, spend the following on spiritual reading and writing
    - Half an hour a day a day on working days
    - One hour a day on non-working days
- Spiritual reading and writing
    - Read spiritual literature or watch or listen to spiritual talks
    - Extract ideas, attitudes, beliefs, ways of thinking, and way of behaving
    - Over time, organise the material you have extracted so you can navigate it easily and find solutions
    - Apply what you're reading to current situations
    - Use the material to write mini-inventories on situations that arise
    - Use the material to devise corrective measures
    - Implement those corrective measures
    - Talk and share about those corrective measures with programme friends and at meetings
    - Check your beliefs, thinking, and behaviour against those corrective measures in the nightly review

## During the day: pages 87 to 88 and 84 to 85
- Trust that you'll be OK if you just keep doing the next right thing
- Stick to the plan
- Apply the 'agitated or doubtful' tools throughout the day from pages 87 to 88
- Apply the Step Ten instructions on pages 84 and 85 throughout the day

## Troubleshooting:
- If you're resentful, drop the judgement, drop the demand
- Follow the instructions at the top of page 67
- Stop thinking about the resentment and instead pray
- If you're frightened, trust God
- Follow the instructions on page 68
- Anything else: call someone sensible and do what they say

## Other
- Go to at least one meeting a day
    - These days, you can dial into meetings while walking, driving, or doing housework

    - Share the truth but share solutions you're applying and results you're getting
    - Find people to help
- Call at least two other people who work out of the Big Book and have completed the programme
- Call your sponsor regularly
- Stay active, constructive, and useful
- Think of others not yourself
