Step Four: Into the woods

Step Four (and to a lesser extent Steps Five through Nine) are like a medieval forest, through which there is a well-lit path. Stick to the path, don't dawdle, and don't stare into the trees or you'll start to see eyes staring back.

Before embarking on Step Four, as part of Step Three, consider whether there are any grave reservations that are likely to cause resistance to or abandonment of the process later on. Getting stuck in the woods is worse than not entering them in the first place.

Review and process these: it's as though one is taking a party into the woods. Anyone too sick to keep up has to be left behind or get well first.
