The Big Book talks about 'paying a price' for the destruction of self-centredness. One form is this:
To be free of resentment, I have to be free of criticism and judgement. What does that mean?
It means going on a diet: nil by mouth.
What does that mean?
Rejecting any judgement of anything as good or bad, mentally or in communications.
Refraining from all complaints, mentally or in communications.
