Why people behave badly:
- Bad (= insufficient / wrong) data
- Hardware error (cognitive deficit)
- Buggy software (illogical thinking)
- Operator distraction (carelessness)
- Operator override (driven by emotion)
The emotion could be anger, fear, guilt, or desire.
I've not found any wrongdoing, of myself or others, that does not resolve into some combination of the above.
This makes forgiveness easier: I suffer to some extent to all five of the above.
