One aspect of Concept III is allowing officers to fulfil their function.
That does not mean that the other members of the group, Intergroup, Region, sub-committee, etc., don't have input into the final result, as ultimate responsibility lies with the commissioning body.
It does mean, however, that, barring catastrophic failure of process, we allow the officer to fulfil the function as they see fit within the scope afforded them. This may mean that people do things differently than we would have done them in the role, both in terms of the how of the task and in terms of details of the output.
For AA to function effectively, oversight is necessary, but this must not tip over into micromanagement. In practice that means we must tolerate a fair degree of latitude in how others perform their service.
