ZOOM164

Let's Zoom our way through the first one hundred and sixty-four pages of the Big Book.

Where?

On Zoom!

When?

Tuesday evenings, 7.30 p.m., Irish time (same as UK), 11 November onwards.

Here are some times in other time zones. It's great for most places except central and east Asia.

Where's the Zoom link?

It'll appear here: click to join.

Who is it for?

Well, it's organised by some CA members in Ireland, but it's for anyone interested in the Twelve Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous, as contained in the 'Big Book' (real name: Alcoholics Anonymous).

Do you have to know anything in advance?

Not really. We'll assume no prior knowledge.

Does that mean it's of no use to seasoned members?

Well, it could reinforce what you know, or you might (un)learn a thing or two. Come along. If it helps, great.

Do I have to be there right from the beginning?

That would help, but it's not vital.

What if I miss one?

You can listen to recordings, which will be posted here: recordings.

Those will help anyone coming in half-way through.

What's the format?

Well, someone (me) who has been sober for 32 years will explain how he uses the Big Book to understand what's wrong with him and what to do about it.

It'll all arise out of the text.

The excerpts will be posed here: readings

It'll be super systematic.

It'll cover what is necessary to recover.

But it won't get lost in irrelevant detail.

And there'll be an opportunity for questions and answers during the sessions. How that will work, well, we'll play it by ear.

Join us, and feel free to bring along your friends.
