Untreated alcoholism is a condition in which I am blocked from God.
Self is in the way.
This appears to be a Catch-22 situation.
It is not.
Imagine a mansion and a porch.
I’m on the porch.
I need to get into the mansion.
I need the key to get in.
God pushes the key out through the letterbox.
And I take the key, turn it, and enter the mansion.
