Tyranny

“We began to see that the world and its people really dominated us. In that state, the wrong-doing of others, fancied or real, had power to actually kill.” (Page 66, Big Book)

When I tyrannise others by having covert or overt demands of them, I ironically become a victim: how they act governs how I feel.

I then accuse them of tyranny.

As a victim, I see tyrants, overlords, oppressors, persecutors everywhere. I’m really seeing myself. I’ve forgotten I am the one who is responsible for my situation and condition. It’s my failed attempt at dictatorship that has placed me in this position.
