Powerless, not helpless, not hopeless

“It says: ‘Came to believe that a Power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity.’ This means that although we cannot help ourselves, there is help at hand.” (ODAT, 24 May)

Powerless not helpless.

Once help is accessed, I’m no longer powerless.

The power is accessed not generated and therefore contingent on the maintenance of the link to the source.

When I feel hopeless, it’s because I see myself as helpless.

This means any condition of apparent hopelessness is simply factually wrong.
