There are relationships where my legitimate role is to instruct, and, in such cases, I’m usually administering a predetermined course not devising it, but most relationships do not fall under this heading. In any case, I’m not the decider.
Thus, in sponsorship, the main job is explain what’s in the literature, listen to inventory from a technical point of view—does it answer the questions asked?—and talk through application of general principles to specific situations.
But I’m not interested in other people’s recovery in a personal sense. This takes the pressure off everyone.
