What is meditation in the programme (3)?

When I meditate in the morning and the evening, I can get it wrong either by not doing it at all, or by altering it, or by doing too much.

Here’s an example of doing precisely the right amount, not too little, not too much, and without variation.

“When we retire at night, we constructively review our day. Were we resentful, selfish, dishonest or afraid?” (Page 86)

The Book suggests that I ask myself whether I was resentful. To do this, I review the day. Review > re-view > see again. I think through the day and see whether I was resentful. If so, the answer is ‘yes’. No analysis. I then move on to ‘selfish’, in the same way. No pencil or paper. No perfunctory sharing or sending.

Noting the ‘yeses’, I then ask God for corrective measures. The wrong is touched upon; the solution is asked for. Nothing more. Nothing less. Just that.
