A miracle is anything that is achieved that could not have been achieved without the Steps.
In Al-Anon, it loses the restrictive characteristic of rarity. ‘An everyday miracle’ would normally be a contradiction in terms, but, in Al-Anon, it is a perfectly reasonable description.
One of the greatest miracles is the ability to pause for so long that the impetus to react dies away completely.
