When I am emotionally involved in a situation, my perception is off, and so any actions I take based on that perception will be off—even if they are right, I will have no way of knowing.
My first aim is to acquire complete detachment, complete indifference to outcomes.
Once the ties of entanglement are cut, I can see right, and on that basis act right.
