Obscurity

“The world is beginning to reveal its beauty which for a long time was obscured by my worrying over my troubles.” (ODAT, 15 February)

Even if the world does go to the hell in a handcart, the material world is only a fragment of reality.

Bearing that in mind, which significantly reduces the stakes:

My job is to be happy, joyous, and free, which is God’s will for me.

To worry is a defect; the only permissible worry is that one worries.

That’s the one thing that must be gotten rid of.

Worry is a straightforward denial of the providence of God.

It says: God’s reassurances mean nothing.

Worry is really hubris. It’s ‘knowing better’ when I don’t know better at all.

You know who knows better?

God knows better!

And God says it’s all alright, so it is.
