I can’t convince anyone that God exists.
Most people who don’t believe God exists take the non-existence of the metaphysical realm and therefore the non-existence of any divine being within it, a priori, as one of the premises of the discourse. This ‘petitio’—begging the question—prevents any real discussion. As an atheist, my logic was unassailable, but only presuming the premises, and one of the premises was the conclusion I sought to arrive it.
The only way anyone convinced me that God existed was because they were doing better than me.
The theology came later.
