“black and sulking silence” (ODAT, 13 February)
I am liable to adopt the gloomy and sulking silence in relation to the world generally. Cynicism and apprehension.
This won’t do.
Firstly it’s a distortion.
Secondly it helps neither me nor the world.
My job is to be cheerful and constructive, the former being required for the latter.
