Fear has an emotional component and a thought component.
The emotional component cannot be worked on, but the thought
component can.
That will automatically change the emotional component.
The thought component is worked on by rejecting the fear
thought.
“X might happen, and that will make me unhappy”.
I replace this with:
“X might indeed happen, but I have taken the necessary
precautions, and, even if it does happen, if I do not condemn it, it cannot
make me unhappy. I need never be unhappy whatever happens. Peace and joy are my
choice.”
This eliminates the fear thought at source.
