Shells

“They gain confidence and poise; they come out of their shells and concern themselves with others in similar trouble.” (ODAT, 3 April)

Confidence: confidence that God will show me what to do in each situation and give me the strength to do it.

Poise: the ability to respond wisely rather than react rashly.

Shell: the ego’s existential position of victimhood, self-pity, hostility, solipsism, and boundaries.

Others in similar trouble: in helping others, I am helped.
