“No one can distort my thinking unless I permit it.” (One Day At A Time In Al-Anon)
If I’m disturbed, my thinking is distorted.
That means I do not see things as they are.
The first step is therefore the acceptance that I do not see things as they are.
I must look at the situation and say:
“I do not know what is going on here.”
I then ask God what to do.
I must then do it.
I will not necessarily understand why.
Even years later.
