Sitting with feelings

Anger and unhappiness are not states I'm placed in but courses I choose.

I was once told I had to sit with my feelings.

Thank heaven that is not the case!

I need sit with my feelings no more than I need sit with an unmade bed, unwashed dishes, or an overflowing bin.

I need to make the bed, wash the dishes, and empty the bin.

When I change what I believe, think, and do, what I feel changes, and very quickly.
