The problem Al-Anon seeks to solve: being obsessed with myself through being obsessed with the alcoholic, others, the world, what's wrong with it, and how these are affecting me.
The solution: thinking less, if at all, about the alcoholic, others, and the world.
This must not be replaced with thinking about myself.
The solution involves thinking about what to do today, as an agent of the Higher Power, and then getting on with it.
